Voluntary love-showing activity
CEI’s employees attach great importance to fulfilling their social responsibilities. Many of them spontaneously participate in various charitable activities and public welfare undertakings. A dozen members of the Communist Youth League of China and youth spontaneously donated winter clothes to children in poor mountainous areas of Gansu Province, and took part in Action of "Love Package for Dream" for Students in poverty-stricken mountainous areas in Henan and other areas year in year out. Some of them voluntarily donated to orphanages and nursing homes in Qingdao; And some took part in many other public welfare donations.

Donation for poverty alleviation
From 5 to 15 September 1996, the Party Committee of CEI responded positively to Qingdao's call for counterpart support to Tongren and Anshun in Guizhou Province. A donation of "poverty alleviation and warmth sending" was organized among the staff, who actively participated in. 2,252 items of clothes and 610 RMB was donated to those remote mountain areas.
